The Incredible Web Beanie J by dms (the hooking nook)
Worsted weight yarn – 1 skein background color, 1 skein web color
H hook (or your trusty beanie making hook)
Yarn needle
- For the color changes you can either bind off when you start the new color or carry over; it is up to you…. For this pattern I bound off R1 and carried over the rest (after several tries this is just what worked for me) I kept the WC to the front of the piece and the BC to the back of the piece when it wasn’t being worked.
- Behind each fptc you will skip the coordinating st on the working row.

I love this beanie! I want to make it for my grandson for Christmas! ❤ I'm having a bit of trouble though… After crocheting R4, I have 40 stitches instead of 30. I think I may be doing something wrong with the tc and adding a st somehow. Any suggestions?
So sorry I did not see this sooner…. we are still getting our home rebuilt since the damage caused by the 2 hurricanes and I dont have much time these days to check in.
My gosh no worries at all! I’m so sorry to hear that your home was damaged by the hurricanes. I hope you and your family are safe and sound. Thank you so much for the advice. I didn’t realize that you’re supposed to skip a stitch on the working row behind the TC but that makes sense when you think about it. 🙂 Thanks again and best wishes for you and your family. ❤
Sounds like you may be adding a stitch with the tc on that row… when you drop down for the tc, move to the next working stitch , which essentially is skipping that stitch behind the tc on that row…
What size does the web beanie pattern make? It is so cute!!!
It makes child size… around 10years of age
Would it be possible to size this up for an adult? I’m not very good at adjusting myself. Apologies if this is not appropriate question. I’m planing on making myself spider gloves and scarf and thought it be cool to have a spider web hat
no apologies necessary. are you asking if I can size up the pattern for you or asking if it can be easily sized up?
