For this ointment (and any containing essential oil) if you can find the dark glass apothecary jars please use them. The essential oils will loose their effectiveness in light. I have been unable to find the dark glass jars and settled for clear. When I was done I closed the jar, taped off the lid, and spray painted it with black paint. Whatever works.
Declan’s Ouchie Remover
He is one of the roughest little boys, EVER (takes after his daddy) and he is always needing his ouchies taken care of. So, he calls this his Ouchie Remover!
Following “Donna’s Non-Petroleum Ointment”,
add in the following essential oils once you remove the melted wax and oils from the heat:
2 tsp. tea tree essential oil
40 drops lavender essential oil
20 drops lemon essential oil
stir well and then pour into your sterilized jars. Let cool and store in a dark dry place – my bathroom closet/medicine cabinet is where I keep mine.
