I love free patterns and when my friend asked me to make her two cozy hats for two 10 year old girls for their road trip to Missouri…well, it was the perfect opportunity to try out something new.

Now, I did not put the pompoms at the end of the braids but for a quick, super cozy and stretchy hat, this is a winner!

I have been crocheting since I was 3. I remember sitting in my grandmother's lap completely fascinated by this 'magic' of creating something with yarn and a hook. I am now grown and have 3 children (1 at home) and 2 granddaughters. I also have a doting boyfriend who loves going on adventures with me and I have a career that I wouldn't trade for any other. I adore our little family and am just navigating through life with a cup of tea and a crochet hook in hand.
